Windex vs. Great Value Glass Cleaner
We are starting to compare cleaning supplies, and found there are lots of glass cleaners on the market. Windex is a popular one, and for a reason. While the Great Value spray had a similar cleaning effect as the name brand, it sprayed on more heavily and took a little more elbow grease to wipe off.
Brandefy compares off brands (e.g., Great Value) to name brands (e.g., Windex) to show you when the generic is as good as the name brand, and to warn you when it is not. Our goal is to help you save time and money, and to have a good time while doing it.
It was a balmy 65 degree day, so we felt like Spring cleaning at Brandefy. We busted out these cleaners to test on our glass surfaces. The color and smell of the two cleaners were fairly similar, as was the ingredient panel. The main problem with the Walmart version was that it sprayed quickly and came out pretty drippy. When we went to wipe it, we had to put in some major elbow grease to clear all the product. The Windex spray wiped away quickly and easily. Both cleaners left our surfaces shiny, but the Great Value version made cleaning feel like the chore it is... bummer!
