New Year's Resolution Four: Get More Organized
Many of us, ehem, Brandefyers included, could stand to get a little more organized. But never mind that, new office supplies are fun! We’re bringing you some of the best and helping you to save while doing so! We don’t get paid for these reviews, but we are here to help you nonetheless.
Moleskin Notebook vs. Amazon Basics Notebook
We tested multiple types of pens and markers on it to see if the bleed was different or perhaps they were different paperweights, but a difference was not detectible to the naked eye. Both notebooks have the handy back pouch and string bookmark.
When using a pencil against the grain of the notebook, the paper made different sounds, but didn’t show differently. After months of use, the Amazon basics did not hold up quite as well as moleskin — there was more drying at the edges. Buy Our Pick
Ticonderoga #2 Pencils vs. Target up & up #2 Pencils
Similarity Score: 81%
We are HUGE Ticonderoga fans, and while no pencil will ever replace it, Target’s are the closest of the store brand pencils we tested. The up&up pencil comes pre-sharpened and is fairly durable over time. It lacks the comfort of the Ticonderoga, and the metal on the end is easier for kids to pull off. Elmer’s Disappearing Purple School Glue Stick vs. up & up Disappearing Purple School Glue Stick
Similarity Score 97%
The packaging is incredibly similar to the name brand, with easy twist up and down. We even found the up&up glue smoother than the Elmers. Buy Our Pick
