Best Drugstore Blush Dupes
Blush will always hold a special place in my heart because it was the first makeup I was allowed to wear. I was in seventh grade and my mom bought me a CoverGirl compact and let me go to town. While I look back and cringe at the layers of rouge on my already pink-undertoned cheeks, I still am grateful that I was able to explore makeup on my own and build a routine after many years. I’ve since upgraded my blush and have found some great drugstore ones for my next purchase.
*Tarte is certified cruelty-free according to Ethical Elephant but Sephora is NOT. Makeup Maven, Katie, says:Both brands have such a vast amount of blush shades for any skin tone. Both the Sephora and the Tarte blushes wore all day and applied very smoothly. They are very buildable so there is no need to worry about putting too much on at once. Tarte runs around $29, while the Sephora is $14. You get slightly more with the Tarte blush but for the amount you get and the price they are, Sephora is the bargain you've been waiting on. *Both brands are certified cruelty-free according to Ethical Elephant. Makeup Maven, Caleigh, says: Glossier Cloud Paint is $18 for .33 fl oz and Flower Blush Bomb Color Drops is $7 for .30 fl oz. I was thoroughly impressed by both products! Glossier was purchased in the color Puff, and Flower Blush Bomb Drops was purchased in the color Bubbly. Glossier’s shade was a bit lighter of a pink and more natural whereas Flower was a pink with a hint of purple. Both colors are super similar and once worn were practically the same. Both have the same smell which is little to no smell of any makeup product. The consistency of both was on point and super similar. Both products came in boxes with shiny attributes which I loved. The actual applicator on both was similar because they both are in a tube with screw-on lids. I preferred Flower over Glossier when applying because Flower has a narrower more precise dropper and Glossier is more like a lotion tube. I was thrilled with the fact I could wear the Glossier on both my cheeks and lips! When applied it was silky smooth and dried with a nice finish that wasn’t expected for how lightweight the formula is. The Flower Drops are not advertised for application on the lips but once applied to the cheeks it was just as silky smooth as Glossier. Overall, these two products are super similar in my book! I prefer the applicator of Flower because it’s much easier to apply and you have the option of being more precise and using less product to achieve the look you want. Whereas Glossier is harder to control and I ended up squeezing out too much product, ultimately wasting some. But that is easy to get used to with more applications! Ultimately, I would save my money and purchase the Flower Bomb Drops due to price and the same qualities I saw that it had compared to Glossier! Buy our pick
*Both brands are cruelty-free according to Cruelty-Free Kitty. Makeup Maven, dupeboss herself, says: These are giving all the close feels. The formula for both is near identical! They both blend beautifully and have amazing pigment. The shades are a little different. The shade FIERCE by Morphe has a slight shimmer whereas the shade MIAMI by Anastasia has a shimmer. The colors are very similar - two out of three are a match! Buy our pick
*Milani is certified cruelty-free according to Cruelty-Free Kitty but NARS is NOT. Makeup Maven, Kayla, says: Orgasm blush by NARS is one the most popular blushes in the beauty community. It's a staple for many but it is quite expensive. $39 for 8 grams. Milani Baked Powder Blush in Dolce Pink is the BEST dupe for it and our makeup maven actually think it is BETTER than the NARS! You get less product however for the price you can't beat it. $8 for 3.5 grams. I think the Milani being baked is much easier to work with, it's a bit more velvety in texture and more pigmented. *Both brands are certified cruelty-free according to Ethical Elephant. Makeup Maven, Kristin, says: This was a surprising find and a great shade match. The formula feels slightly different to the touch, but both of these products wear lovely on the skin. The Milani packaging isn't as cute, but gives you the same result for less than half the price!
