Kayla says the cheaper lip gloss stinks (literally)! Skip this gloss in favor of something else.

Clinique Pop Splash in Rosewater Pop vs. Burt’s Bees Lip Gloss in Sunny Day

According to Cruelty-Free Kitty, neither of these brands are cruelty-free. Makeup Maven, Kayla, found Clinique for $19.50 and Burt's Bees for $8.99. Kayla says: These products are do have a very similar doe foot applicator. These products smell nothing alike. Burt's Bees has a very strange smell to it. I was a little put off by it when I opened it. Even when you put it on your lips the smell is still there. This ruined the gloss for me. I wasn't a fan of the smell at all. It smells stale. Clinique doesn't have much of a smell. Color-wise in the tube these look very different, but during the application, they look quite similar. Both products are peachy with the same shimmer undertone. Burt's Bees is slightly sheerer compared to Clinique. Application wise both products are smooth - not overly sticky & they do not dry out your lips. I do feel like Clinique is much more hydrating, though. I did have to dip twice in BB's tube to get a proper application. The applicator doesn't pick up much product. I truly can't get over the smell! Due to the fact that I wasn't a fan of the smell, I definitely choose Clinique. Buy our pick
