Shoutout to Kayla (yet again) for being on top of testing for Brandefy. See how you can get a dupe of this dreamy palette.

Urban Decay Born to Run Eyeshadow Palette vs. Prism Makeup Interstellar Eyeshadow Palette

Both of these brands claim to be cruelty-free. Makeup Maven, Kayla, says: Born to Run is $49 while Interstellar is $11.99 Both palettes have 21 shades. Packaging wise both are similar but Urban Decay is much more high end with its large mirror and plastic palette that has some weight to it. The mirror is huge! I love it. Interstellar has a smaller mirror & typical cardboard packaging. Looking at both palettes side by side the colors look absolutely identical. Swatching both palettes color wise they were borderline identical, however, formula-wise both palettes are very different. Born To Run’s mattes were not very impressive. They skipped upon swatching & were very chalky. Interstellar’s mattes swatched a bit better. The shimmer shades in both palettes were beautiful. They felt buttery smooth & were very pigmented during swatching. During application, I still didn’t care for Born To Run’s matte shades - just like the swatches they were not the easiest to work with. Interstellar’s mattes performed a bit better. The shimmers in Born To Run seemed a bit more pigmented compared to Interstellar’s but by the end of the day, the pigment was gone. I feel as though Born To Run’s formula was a hit or miss. Many of the shades were very chalky, muddy & didn’t last long on the lid. Interstellar’s shimmers were not as pigmented but they lasted longer on the lid & the mattes were easier to work with. In the end, I think that Born To Run didn’t give the normal Urban Decay quality & I was actually really disappointed. The dupe wasn’t the best palette I’ve ever tried but I think it performed better than Born To Run. If you were disappointed in Born To Run but love the color story or have been wanting to try it - save yourself some money & frustration and try Prism Makeup instead. Buy our pick
