*AOA is cruelty-free while MAC is not* Makeup Maven, Kayla, says: MAC is $22 for 5 grams & Amuse is $1 for 5grams. Both products come in similar containers with a screw top. MAC is in a glass container while Amuse is in plastic. Texture wise both products also feel the same, I couldn't really tell the difference. Color wise it's almost identical in the jar but once swatched Amuse is slightly more pink than MAC. Both products are great as an eyeshadow primer or just use by itself. They both covered discoloration on my lids & blended out really well. I have hooded eyes and even so after about 8 hours of wear MAC didn’t show any creasing & Amuse showed very little creasing on my lid by the end of the day. Both products made my eyeshadow look more vibrant. If you’re looking for a good dupe for Painterly paint pot - Amuse Clean Slate is where it’s at. I think you’ll like it! Buy our pick

*According to Cruelty-Free Kitty, neither MAC nor Revlon is cruelty-free* Makeup Maven, Kayla, says: MAC is $22 for 5grams & Revlon is $8.50 for 5.2grams. Both products come in a glass container with a screw top. Revlon has a hidden brush in the cap which I think is really cool. However, I apply with my fingers. Texture wise they feel very similar. They both blend easily out on the lid. Revlon has many more shades compared to MAC, especially shimmer shades. Both products lasted on my lids for about 8 hours without any noticeable creasing. The shimmers in Revlon's shadows are very soft looking, no chunky glitter here. While these are not color dupes the formula is very similar so if you're looking for similar eyeshadow definitely try Revlon - you'll get more product & save yourself some money! Buy our pick

*ELF is cruelty-free but MAC is NOT* Makeup Maven, Kayla, says: MAC is $22 for 5 grams & ELF is $3 for 5.5 grams. Both products come in similar containers with a screw top lid. ELF is in plastic while MAC is in glass. Texture wise they feel similar with ELF being much more creamy. The shimmer in ELF is very subtle - no chunky glitter. Both products are very easy to blend out. I do have hooded eyes and despite this MAC did not crease while ELF did by the end of the day. I think ELF would make a great inner corner highlight or brow bone highlight versus all over the lid. While these seem similar and look similar I think MAC outperforms ELF because who wants creasing by the end of the day? Buy our pick
