Too Faced White Peach Eyeshadow Palette vs. Face Candy Smoothie Eyeshadow Palette
Makeup Maven, Kayla, says: Too Faced White Peach is $45 and Face Candy Smoothie is about $8. Both have 12 eyeshadows. Packaging wise White Peach definitely beats Smoothie. White Peach's packaging is really nice with the clutch style packaging. It also has a very light smell of peach when you open it. Smoothie's packaging is cardboard & doesn't smell but it does have a decent mirror as well. Side by side looking at the colors in the pans there are definitely some differences. However, after swatching & application the colors are really spot on. Both palettes are very pigmented. Face Candy's formula is very soft so there was a bit of kickback / fall out. But even so, I think I had an easier time using the Face Candy palette & I think the final look looked more smooth compared to the Too Faced palette. I've read reviews that people thought the Face Candy palette was very chalky and wouldn't blend out but I didn't have that problem. I thought the shadows blended very well. After a 12 hour day, I did notice that the Face Candy shimmers kind of disappeared off my eyes at the end of the day while Too Faced was still going strong. But, for being on for 12 hours I was pretty impressed. Perhaps with a glitter glue, they would have lasted longer, I applied the shimmers with my fingers. In the end, I thought both palettes were great but you can definitely get the same looks that you'd get with White Peach with the Smoothie palette. If you've been wanting the White Peach palette & don't care about the fancy packaging or the peach smell definitely give Smoothie a try. It's plain as far as packaging goes but the end product is great!
