Fenty Mattamoiselle Plush Matte Lipstick in Ma’Damn vs. Maybelline Color Sensational Creamy Matte Lip Color

Similarity Score: 91%

Makeup Maven, Kristin, says: These two products (Fenty in Ma'Damn and Maybelline in Rich Ruby) were very similar - both gave beautiful pigmented color (almost exactly the same shade), a matte finish, and lasted for quite a long time on the lips. The Maybelline is actually a bit creamier on application, and overall a bit more comfortable to wear. I'd recommend wearing both of these products with a lipliner because they are so pigmented and because the Fenty bled outside my lip lines just a bit without one. I don't see any reason to buy the Fenty here, the Maybelline formula is fantastic! Buy our pick

Fenty Mattemoiselle Plus Matte Lipstick in Ma’Damn vs. Colourpop Creme Lux Lipstick in On Display

Similarity Score: 86%

Both of these matte lipstick formulas impressed the reviewer in terms of their lasting power on the lips, although the Colourpop formula is more comfortable to apply and wear. The colors are also close - our tester wore the lipsticks side by side and couldn't see a difference. It is also important to note that the Fenty lipstick comes with half of the product of a standard lipstick, making it much more expensive than it seems. The Colourpop is the obvious choice here! Fenty Pro Filt’r Matte Longwear Foundation vs. CYO Cosmetics Long Lasting Foundation Life Proof

Similarity Score: 80%
The wear time of the CYO and Fenty are all day. Both have a matte finish and set themselves. Fenty has a large shade range that focuses a lot on the red and yellow tones. CYO also has a large range, however, they range from warm to cooler tones as well. Both have a very thin feel to them with the benefit of being full coverage. They are also water-based. Our beauty reviewer has noticed with Fenty, once the water evaporates and the makeup sets, there is a color change, while there is no change to the CYO. With the price of CYO running you about $7 and Fenty around $32, we say CYO is the way to go! Buy our pick

Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer in Fenty Glow vs. Colourpop Ultra Glossy Lip in Mami

Similarity Score: 77%

Our makeup guru says: These products look almost identical on the lips. The tones, the reflection from the glitter, and the high shine - all appear the same. But they are different in a couple of important ways - the Gloss Bomb by Fenty is creamy, easy to apply, and lasts a good amount of time on the lips. The Colourpop gloss is a bit sheerer and sticky (and has a brush applicator which I do not prefer). As this formula is sheerer, you can feel a slight grittiness on your lips from the glitter and can see more of your lip (or lipstick) color through the gloss. I can see how these are compared often - the colors are very close - but the Fenty is worth the increased price. (Worth noting however is that Fenty is 3 times the cost [$6 vs. $18] for 3 times the product [0.11oz vs. 0.3 oz]) Splurge on this one. Buy our pick

Fenty Stunna Lip Paint Longwear Fluid Lip Color in Uncuffed vs. NYX Liquid Suede Lip Cream in Soft-Spoken

Similarity Score: 72%

Kayla says: Fenty in Uncuffed is $24 for 4 ml. NYX in Soft Spoken is $7 for 4 ml. Fenty's packaging is sleek looking its the triangular top & glass bottle. The wand is even more unique with it's hourglass shape - I enjoyed using it and it made application easy to get in small areas on your lip line. One dip is really all you need. I would look at this bottle & think of nail polish before I would think of a liquid lip. The NYX packaging isn't bad, just a bit cheaper - it's a plastic tube and the applicator is a flat doe foot with a slight angle. It's also pretty easy to use. Fenty claims to be matte & long wearing - up to 12 hours. I didn't wear this for a full 12 hours but it did last about 4. I can totally understand why it's called 'paint' because I feel like that is exactly what it is. It was a little bit of a challenge to remove. It transfers a little bit, and at the end of my day I noticed I had a little bit of Kool-aid mouth going on from it transferring slightly. I was surprised when I looked in the mirror. It isn't a good look. The formula did dry down matte and wasn't overly drying like some other formulas but it is drying. NYX is very creamy and only lasts a few hours before disappearing on your lips. It's easy to remove & not drying what so ever on the lips. NYX also isn't transfer proof but no Koolaid mouth, here! Formula wise these two are very different, but color wise they are an insanely close dupe. Soft Spoken isn't as pigmented as Uncuffed but for someone who may not want to spend $24 on a lipstick but want that mauvy rose color - NYX is for you. Buy our pick

Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer in Fenty Glow vs. Sephora Collection Outrageous Effect Volume Lip Gloss

Similarity Score: 72%

Brandefy Certified Tester Says: Sephora is $12 for 5ml & Fenty is $18 for 9ml. Fenty is a mild shimmer to it, Sephora does not. Fenty smells like vanilla & Sephora smells like peppermint. Both are very hydrating formulas; Fenty is Shea butter based while Sephora Sunflower Seed & Ginger Root oil. The color of both is a bit similar. Fenty is a bit thicker in consistency. Neither are sticky & dry down the same. Sephora has a mild lip plumping affect due to having peppermint oil in the ingredients. It doesn't sting your lips and feels good on your lips. While Fenty relies solely on high shine for a fuller lip look. The wand on Fenty is large and easy to work with while Sephora is smaller, some may not like it but I had no issue applying it. The Fenty goes on almost like a liquid lipstick but the color fades after it's on your lips for a bit. Before the color fades it does settle into your lines on your lips. It does dry clear. I think both formulas are good but if you're trying to find something to dupe Fenty I would just go and spend the money on Fenty. Sephora is cheaper but less ML so you may as well spend the extra few bucks for more product. I like having both in my collection. Buy our pick

Fent Pro Filt’r Instant Retouch Concealer vs. NYX Can’t Stop Won’t Stop Concealer

Similarity Score: 70%

Kimberly says: Sorry RiRi, but save your money with NYX Can't Stop Won't Stop Concealer! It was a pleasant surprise to see so many shade ranges for both brands. Fenty’s formula is a thicker consistency, but NYX had even better coverage. Fenty formula does not do well on dry OR oily skin. Within an hour, I had creasing on my eyelids, and my dry under-eye caused cracking of the concealer. By the end of my work day, my dark circles had returned. NYX, on the other hand, felt extremely hydrating and didn’t crease at all on my eyelids. It also was very easy to blend out, kept my dark circles contained and stayed smooth all day! Buy our pick
