Jeffree Star Unicorn Blood vs. Colourpop and NYX
We love the Jeffree Star names - “Unicorn Blood” is so creative! Though we’d never hurt a unicorn…
One thing we don’t love about Jeffree Star is the price point. See how these two lip creams stacked up.

Makeup Maven, Kayla, says:JSC in Unicorn Blood is $18 for 5.6 ml and Colourpop in Avenue is $6.50 for 3.2 ml. Both have doe-foot applicators but JSC's is quite bigger than Colourpop. Unicorn Blood smells like root beer. I didn't mind the smell at all. Both products go on very easily and dry down matte quickly. Neither brand transferred once dried down. The colors are extremely similar. Avenue is actually a little darker than Unicorn Blood. Both are very vampy red colors. Gorgeous! While both products are great you can get the same look with Colourpop's Avenue while saving money. Try Colourpop or Try Jeffree Star

Makeup Maven, Kayla, says: JSC in Unicorn Blood is $18 for 5.6ml & NYX in Cherry Skies is $7 for 4ml. I wore these at the same time on each side of my lips. Unicorn Blood smells like root beer - I don't mind this but I know a few people who will avoid the shades of his that do. NYX has a flat angled doe foot applicator & JSC has a regular doe foot. JSC’s Unicorn Blood is more opaque than NYX. NYX bleeds so be sure to use a lip liner if using their brand. The colors are not really the same - Unicorn Blood has brown undertones & Cherry Skies is much redder. Both are beautiful colors that dry down matte. JSC does not transfer while NYX does. JSC lasted much longer than NYX. In the end, I think JSC’s formula surpasses NYX even if it is a bit more money. You will not have to reapply as much with Jeffree’s lipsticks.
