Sephora Collection Lip Creams and Glosses: How Do They Stack Up?

Our lips can get dry and lose their luster in the winter. Luckily we can slap some quality lipstick on and continue to look glamorous even in the cold. Sephora Collection lip products have proven themselves against the prestige brands. Buy Sephora Lipstick Here

Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick vs. Sephora Collection Lip Stain Liquid Lipstick

Similarity Score: 84%

These two products are extremely similar, including the packaging and application tip. Both were easy to apply and didn't feel too dry on the lips, had great pigmentation, and lasted all day.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick vs. Sephora Collection Lip Stain Liquid Lipstick

Similarity Score: 83%

We think it’s safe to say Sephora's Liquid Lip can hold its own against most prestige brands and it did not disappoint when compared to ABH's liquid lipstick. Both had similar packaging, ease of application, pigmentation and very long lasting!

Too Faced Melted Matte Liquified Long Wear Matte Lipstick vs. Sephora Collection Lip Stain Liquid Lipstick

Similarity Score: 82%

If you can get past the packaging, the actual products are extremely similar. Too Faced, as with most prestige brands, has a much prettier and more luxurious packaging than the Sephora brand. But both lip products delivered excellent wear, pigmentation, and longevity.

Fenty Beauty Glossbomb Universal Lip Luminizer in Fenty Glow vs. Sephora Collection Outrageous Effect Volume Lip Gloss in XXL Nude

Similarity Score: 72%

Brandefy Certified Tester Says: Sephora is $12 for 5ml & Fenty is $18 for 9ml. Fenty is a mild shimmer to it, Sephora does not. Fenty smells like vanilla & Sephora smells like peppermint. Both are very hydrating formulas; Fenty is Shea butter based while Sephora Sunflower Seed & Ginger Root oil. The color of both is a bit similar. Fenty is a bit thicker in consistency. Neither are sticky & dry down the same. Sephora has a mild lip plumping affect due to having peppermint oil in the ingredients. It doesn't sting your lips and feels good on your lips. While Fenty relies solely on high shine for a fuller lip look. The wand on Fenty is large and easy to work with while Sephora is smaller, some may not like it but I had no issue applying it. The Fenty goes on almost like a liquid lipstick but the color fades after it's on your lips for a bit. Before the color fades it does settle into your lines on your lips. It does dry clear. I think both formulas are good but if you're trying to find something to dupe Fenty I would just go and spend the money on Fenty. Sephora is cheaper but less ML so you may as well spend the extra few bucks for more product. I like having both in my collection.
